READY Parent ACTION Academy empowers parents and caregivers of K-12 students in Rochester with the knowledge and tools to actively shape Rochester's education systems. Graduates of this three month program have confidence to advocate and collaborate for meaningful change, set clear goals, and engage effectively to improve K-12 schools.

READY's Parent ACTION Academy focuses on

We aim to equip parents and caregivers with skills to stregthen community influence and create lasting change for Rochester's youth. The three month program is hybrid with alternating in-person and virtual sessions every other Thursday from mid-September to November, finishing up with a graduation ceremony before the Thanksgiving holiday. There is a modest stipend for completing the program. More information can be found in the application here. We have 10 spots available. Please apply before August 20, 2025.
